We also really appreciated the list of notable African American scientists - we, as parents of the public school system in the 80’s & early 90’s, lacked this information in our own education and are working hard to ensure our child doesn’t have the same gaps in his education that we did. We are always teaching ourselves new ways of learning and filling in our educational gaps.
